===== Enlisted Pay Scale =====
  * E-1 Private--during 2 yr term of compulsory service:
     * 1st year--1 sovereign/month
     * 2nd year--3 gold half-sovereigns/month</ul>
     * 3rd and subsequent years (when the soldier elects to remain on active duty after basic citizenship requirements are met)--1 guinea/month, increasing by 1 gold half-sovereign/month for each additional year of service in grade up to 2 guineas
  * E-2 Lance Corporal-- 2 guineas/month, increasing by 1 gold half-sovereign/month for each additional year of service in grade up to 3 guineas
  * E-3 Corporal--3 guineas/month, increasing by 1 gold half-sovereign/month for each additional year of service in grade up to 5 guineas
  * E-4 Sergeant--5 guineas/month, increasing by 1 gold half-sovereign/month for each additional year of service in grade up to 10 guineas
  * E-5 Master Sergeant--10 guineas/month, increasing by 1 gold sovereign/month for each additional year of service in grade up to 20 guineas
  * E-6 Sergeant Major--20 guineas/month, increasing by 1 gold sovereign/month for each additional year of service in grade while on active duty up to 50 guineas/month

===== Commissioned Officer Pay Scale =====
  * O-1 Lieutenant / Sheriff--25 guineas/month, increasing by 2 guineas, sovereign, crown/month for each additional year of service in grade up to 50 guineas
  * O-2 Subaltern / Crown Sheriff--50 guineas/month, increasing by 5 guineas/month for each additional year of service in grade up to 100 guineas
  * O-3 Captain--100 guineas/month, increasing by 10 guineas/month for each additional year of service in grade up to 200 guineas
  * O-4 Major--200 guineas/month, increasing by 10 guineas/month for each additional year of service in grade up to 300 guineas
  * O-5 Colonel--300 guineas/month, increasing by 10 guineas/month for each additional year of service in grade up to 400 guineas
  * O-6 General--400 guineas/month, increasing by 10 guineas/month for each additional year of service in grade up to 500 guineas

With the exception of Crown Sheriff (a different designation, denoting senior Sheriff in a County) pay for Crown rank starts at 150% of base pay for the grade and increases proportionately with time-in-grade for the subsequent 10 years.
